Catherine Monetti, MA, RN
is a certified Gestalt psychotherapist with a private practice in both Gestalt
Therapy and Energy Healing. She is also certified in EMDR trauma therapy, and is trained
in Therapeutic Touch Energy Medicine.
Of her twenty-five years of
professional Nursing experience, the last seventeen have been spent as a Nurse Educator.
Receiving her Master of Arts degree from New York University, School of Education, she has
since taught on the Clinical Nursing Faculties at several major universities. A true
Generalist, her areas of expertise include Medical-Surgical, Psychiatric Mental Health,
and Holistic Nursing.
She has been a Guest Lecturer at
the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy and Training in New York City, where she received her
training in Gestalt Psychotherapy.
Conducting workshops in Energy Healing,
and its integration with Gestalt Therapy, she is the creator of Intrapsychic Touchä, an Energy Healing technique that
emerged as an integration of these healing methods. This powerful healing modality was
originally intended as an application of the Krieger-Kunz method of Therapeutic Touch
(1972), that is now considered a form of Energy Medicine by the National Center for
Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCAM), a component of the National Institute of
Health (NIH). The serendipitous development of Intrapsychic Touchä is a natural evolution of all of her
personal and professional experiences and education.
She is available for individual and
group Gestalt Therapy and/or Intrapsychic Touch healing by way of in-office and
in-hospital consultation; professional continuing education; and, formal workshops.
